Use these steps to manage your Distrib
Use these steps to set up REF IDs for inbound and outbound client documents. . Steps
Note: Special authorization is required to ADD or UPDATE entries. Basic authorization is VIEW only.
Authorization Category: viaLink Administraton (VLADMIN)
Permission: Comm. INI Data Maintenance (COMINIDATA)
Business Rules:
Status and Ref Id 2 columns are shown for inbound (pull) directions only.
Comm. Protocol shows all protocols that have been created for the selected business unit and which are available for selected data direction.
If adding a new communication entry, REF Id 1 shows all available Ref Ids for select data direction. However, all IDs that are taken will be excluded. (You cannot assign more than one instance of the same Ref Id for the same protocol and direction.)
If updating an existing Comm. Entry, then Data Direction, Comm. Protocol, and Ref. Id 1 are read-only fields. To change the Data Direction and/or Comm. Protocol, the current INI entry must be deleted and replaced (added) by a new entry.
Data Identification selection is a list (pool) of all available IDs for the selected BU and protocol. The list is part of the Communication Configuration setup.
For FTP inbound Comm. Protocol, the following rule is enforced: Ref. Id 1 and file pattern must be unique for the selected data direction and protocol. The screen will NOT show file patterns that have been assigned to other Ref. Ids.
For EDI inbound, only one EDI ID can be checked.
