Use Manage Deals to work with your deals. You can update existing deals, add new deals, and perform other tasks from this window.
Manage Deals (steps)
The actions you can take, such as adding or updating, are based on logical business rules. For example, you can only add deals when the promotion's Status is New. Deal Conditions can not be changed in an Activated promotion, but any dates that have not passed can be adjusted forward or backward.

You can take the following actions on promotions that are in a New status.
You can add deals to a promotion using this window. Some people prefer to use Manage Deals over using Add Deals - Express Entry.
Deals can only be added to promotions in a New status.
The Deal Number, Handling Method, and other information can be updated through this window.
When a promotion is in a New status, all parts of a deal can be updated.
Use this to view all the details of a deal. The deal setup information, Deal Conditions, Purchase Items, and Deal Items display.
No business rules apply. Can be performed at any time.
You can add a cost comment, such as Temporary Cost Reduction, and you can work with a deal's conditions, such as the Amount Off and the Deal/Purchase Items.
These actions can only be performed for promotions in a New status.
You can adjust the promotion and deal dates for a promotion.
Dates can be adjusted in both New and Activated promotions. Certain business rules apply. For more information, see Manage Promotion/Deal Dates.
You can take the following actions on promotions that are in a Activated status.
Use this to view all the details of a deal. The Deal setup information, Deal Conditions, Purchase Items, and Deal Items display.
No business rules apply. Can be performed at any time.
When a promotion is in an Activated status, a deal can only be Cancelled, regardless of whether the promotion has begun.
Once you cancel a deal, it cannot be un-cancelled. Deals cannot be added to an Activated promotion.
You cannot cancel a deal that is in effect (ongoing as of today's date). Instead, use Manage Promotion/Deal Dates to make it "over."
You can adjust the promotion and deal dates for a promotion.
Dates can be adjusted in both New and Activated promotions. Certain business rules apply. For more information, see Manage Promotion/Deal Dates.
