Although most reports will be sent directly to you as an e-mail attachment, a report file can be generated and then held until you download the file online.
If a report you ran was over 2MB (a large report), or if you selected E-mail Notification or Chainlink as the delivery type for a report, you will need to download the report.
The application associated with online downloads is called Chainlink. The Chainlink system is used for holding and transferring files, and can only be directly accessed by a Prescient Client Support Representative. However, Prescient provides you with access to this system through the file Download menus.
You set how your report will be delivered by selecting a Delivery Type for the report.
If you select E-mail Attachment, the report will be sent to your e-mail address. It is not necessary to download the report file.
If you select E-mail Notification from a report menu, you will be notified by e-mail when the report is ready to download.
If you select Chainlink, no e-mail is sent. You must manually check to see if the report has been generated and is ready for download.
Note: You can click View Report Requests to check on the progress of your report. If the report name does not display, your report has finished running.
