The Review Shrink by Store window can be used to display the SBT business rules for reviewing or settling a shrink result. These are shown through the Select drop-down lists in the middle of the window.
For example: The window defaults to Eligible to Settle.
Select: Eligible to Settle Status: Reviewed Inventory: Full Method: By Item.
To be eligible for settlement, the results must have been Reviewed, based on a Full inventory (partial counts cannot be used), and the counting Method must have been by individual item. Eligible to settle will only show counts dated within the last 60 days.
To display the rules for shrink Review:
Select the Retailer.
Choose Eligible to Review from the Select drop-down list.
Click Find.
IMPORTANT: 60-Day Limit to Settle
Shrink must be settled within 60 days of the final Count Date submitted.
The 60-day limit begins on the date the count was taken. For example, if a count is taken on September 1, 2005, the shrink must be reviewed and settled by October 29, 2005. If a count is held for several days before posting, those days will reduce the time available for review.
If the 60-day limit has expired, two options are available to settle a period:
Settle using a more recent "full-count" taken within the last 60 days.
Take and post a new "full-count," then use the new count to settle.
Note: Since counts dated more than 60 days ago cannot be settled, the Eligible to Settle selection in the Review Shrink by Store window will not show counts prior to 60 days.
