The products you manufacture or distribute are called items in Park City Group applications. Your item catalog can hold an extensive amount of information about your items.
At a minimum, this information includes:
An item Description of up to 45 characters.
A primary UPC or product Code that is tied to the vendor unit you sell or distribute (such as the case).
The Item Number that your company assigns for accounting, inventory, and ordering. This number is also called the Supplier Item Number or the Item Order Number.
The Available Date that the item is available to your subscribers (retailers).
The Size of the item, such as 8 ounces.
The Units per Case, Packs per Case, and Units per Pack (commonly called pack and inner pack).
The Merchandise Category (MCAT) to which the item is assigned.
A variety of other information can be associated with your item, including the item’s weight, package size, volume, and consumer-unit. Multiple UPCs and product codes can be assigned to an item, including a GTIN - Global Trade Identification Number. A retailer’s SKU can be assigned to benefit your subscribers.
Your item can also be associated with a Master Item family tree that lists all of the possible ways your item is sold (such as by the case, the 12-pack, or the can). This information can be used for your own internal bookkeeping, and it can be passed on to your trading partners in the form of data exports.
This is only a partial list of the information that can be stored with your item data. For further information, please contact Park City Group Support.
Most or all of your items were loaded into Item & Cost during implementation. As a part of this process, the subscribers you chose were authorized to the items (offered the items)
