View Billing Account Exceptions

Use this tool to view and report:

 

Follow the steps for your task:

No Billing Account

Past Due

Contract Renewal in 7 Days

 

No Billing Account

This task finds Advanced Commerce clients who do not have a billing account set up.

From the AC Accounting window:

  1. Click View Billing Account Exceptions.

  2. Leave at the default of No Billing Account.

  3. Click Find.  

The results display.

  1. If desired, click Report to receive this list in a .csv file.  

The report is sent to your Prescient e-mail address.  It lists the Business Unit Name and Business Unit ID set up in Advanced Commerce.  

Important:  Existing clients without a billing account must be added by Prescient Operations.  Otherwise an incorrect Account Number and Business Unit is created.

Past Due

Use this to display all clients with expired contracts.  Contracts are considered past due if the Renewal Date is exceeded (Billing Start Date + Terms Length).  

For example, today is May 1, 2007.  A contract's Start Date is April 27, 2006 with a Terms Length of 1 year.   This contract is past due for renewal.

From the AC Accounting window:

  1. Click View Billing Account Exceptions.

  2. Select Past Due.

  3. Click Find.

The results display.

  1. If desired, click Report to receive this list in a .csv file.

The report is sent to your Prescient e-mail address.

  1. To review current terms for an account, click the onscreen Renewal Date.

Click the Start Date to view the details.  For information on adding or modifying terms, see Update Billing Terms and Subscription Rates.

Contract Renewal in 7 Days

Follow these steps to display clients whose contracts are up for renewal within the number of days you specify.  These contracts have not yet expired.

From the AC Accounting window:

  1. Click View Billing Account Exceptions.

  2. Select Contract Renewal In 7 Days.  

  3. If desired, enter a different number of days.

  4. Click Find.

The results display.

  1. If desired, click Report to receive this list in a .csv file.  

The report is sent to your Prescient e-mail address.

  1. To review current terms for an account, click the onscreen Renewal Date.

Click the Start Date to view the details.  For information on adding or modifying terms, see Update Billing Terms and Subscription Rates.
