View Consumer Sales

Use this utility to report the dollar amounts associated with consumer sales.  The report shows sales by store and by day, and includes seven-day totals.  You can choose to display sales by store or by item.  

You can review the results online, or you can run a report that can be printed or placed in a spreadsheet. Click for sample reports.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the screen

  2. Enter Date and Supplier Criteria

  3. Select the Store data to report

  4. Choose the Content Specifications

  5. Run the report

 

A.

Open the screen

From the Item Movement tab:

  1. Click View Consumer Sales.

If you've saved a prior set up as a query, and wish to use it again, click Expand Stored Queries.  

It's easy to name and save queries for report set ups you'd like to repeat.  The settings pre-populate, allowing you to change dates other information as needed.  For more information see Saving and using report queries.

Enter Date and Supplier Criteria

  1. If desired, enter a different Start Date. This must be within the last 180 days.

A consumer sales report is based a seven-day period that begins on the Start Date you enter.  By default, the date is set to seven-days prior to today.

Enter all dates in the format mm/dd/yyyy (or use the calendar).

  1. Use the Next Days drop-down to set the number of days to include in the report.  

This is the number of days including and after the Start Date.

  1. Select the Supplier.

Select the Store data to report

  1. Select the type of store data to report:

All Stores - Cumulative

Fully Deployed Stores Only - Cumulative

All Stores - By Store

Fully Deployed Stores Only - By Store

Selected Stores - By Store.

Hints:  

Choose Selected Stores - By Store if you want to select from the Store list.

You cannot Display more than one store at a time.  If additional stores are desired, generate a report by clicking the Submit link at the bottom of the window (appears after you click Display/Report).

All Stores - Cumulative and Fully Deployed Stores only - Cumulative will not display if more than 5 stores are found.  Click Submit after Display/Report to run a report.

  1. If you choose Selected Stores - By Store, select the stores from the list or click Expand Store Search Criteria.

Store Search Criteria:

Store Name - Enter all or part of the store name using asterisks as wild cards.

Store State - Select the state.

Retailer Store Nbrs - Enter the numbers or copy and paste in the box.

Click Find and select the stores.

Choose the Content Specifications

  1. Select from the Group By options to arrange the data by Store, Item, or UPC.

Note:  If you selected a "- By Store" option, the report will be grouped by Item.

  1. Select to Show Cost or Retail amounts.

  2. Select to Show Amounts Only, Units Sold Only, or Amounts and Units Sold.

Note:  Units Sold can only be included in reports that are Grouped By Item.  Units are not shown if Group By Store is selected.

  1. Click Display/Report.  The consumer-sales data displays, and/or report options display at the bottom.

Note:  If you wish to save your entries, click Expand Stored Queries at the top. Enter a Name for New Query and click Save.  See Saving and using report queries for more information.

Run the report

You can review certain data on-screen, or you can generate a report that is delivered to you by e-mail or through downloading.  The report options are located at the bottom of the window.

  1. If desired, enter a different Report Name.

  2. Select a Format.

Comma Separated (CSV) for a report you can open as a spreadsheet.

RTF for a ready-to-print table you can open with word-processing software.

  1. Select a Delivery Type.

  2. Click Submit.

Note:  If a report is over 2MB in size, it normally will not be sent as an e-mail attachment. Instead, you are notified by e-mail that the report is ready to download.  

Click File Registry from any Park City Group window, Find and select the file, then click Download to transfer it to your computer.
