Find and select the promotion to copy

From the main Item & Cost window:

1. Click Manage Promotions.

2. Enter search criteria and click Find to list the promotion you want to copy.

3. Select the promotion.

4. Select Copy Promotion from the Next Step bar and click Proceed.

Enter the new Event ID and dates

1. Enter the promotion Event ID (required).

2. Enter the Effective On and Ends On dates of the promotion event (required).  

3. If desired, enter any additional date-based event information.  The First Order Date through Performance End Date fields are optional.

4. If desired, enter a new promotion Description.

5. Using the Manage Promotion (Areas) By choices, select either Cost Zones or Subscribers (retailers).

6. Manage Areas is displayed on the Next Step bar.  Click Save and Proceed.

Select the areas

The window that displays is based on your Cost Zones or Subscribers choice.

1. Select (highlight) the Zones or Subscribers you want to include in the promotion.

2. Click the > button to choose the Zones or Subscribers.

3. Manage Deals is displayed on the Next Step bar. Click Save and Proceed.

If desired, update a copied deal

All deals were copied from the original promotion. If desired, you can update the Deal ID, Handling Method, and other information for a copied promotion.

1. Select the deal to be updated.

2. Manage Deal Conditions is listed on the Next Step bar. Click Proceed.

3. Make changes as needed.

4. Return to Deal Selection is listed on the Next Step bar. Click Save and Proceed.

Activate the copied promotion

After all deals are set, the promotion must be "Activated."  For more information, see Overview - Activating a Promotion.

To activate the promotion:

1. Select Return to Promotion Selection from the Next Step bar.

2. Click Proceed.

3. Select the NEW promotion.

4. Click Check for Completeness to ensure the promotion is complete.  Correct any errors that display.

5. Select ACTIVATED from the Change Status To bar.

6. Click Change Status To. You are prompted Are you sure.....?  

7. Review and print the promotion.  (Use your browser's print button.)

8. Click Yes to confirm or No to cancel.

If desired, click Notify Subscribers to send immediate e-mail notifications to the promotion recipients.  Otherwise, they will be notified according to their default schedule.
