To update the Code, Name, Should Sum, and Is Restricted fields |
To update the Code, Name, Should Sum, and Is Restricted fields/options for your components:
Allowance components are assigned the Code of your choice. This field is a "free form" field, in that it can contain any character. For example, DIST_COMP. Notes:
Allowance components are assigned the Name of your choice The name is used to refer to the component online and in promotion notifications sent by e-mail. This field is a "free form" field, in that it can contain any character. For example, Distributor Component. Notes:
Each component has a Should Sum option that determines whether the component's allowance is included in the total allowance. All Should Sum components are "summed" or added together to make up the total allowance offered to the retailer. This is useful when a total allowance must be broken into separate components for informational purposes.
See also, Should Sum option. Restricted components are hidden from third parties and subscribers that are set with this restriction. Restrictions are used to allow some entities to see specific allowances, while preventing others from doing so. It is normally used in combination with the Should Sum option.
When updating or adding a component:
See also, Restricting the display of components online, in reports, and in notifications. Note: The Should Sum and Is Restricted check boxes toggle between "yes" and "no." Check a box to make it "yes."
