Also called "locations," facilities are the points at which events occur for a product or ingredient. A facility can be a farm, manufacturing plant, distribution center, warehouse, store, or any other place in which a product is grown, processed, transported from, delivered to, held in storage or placed on the shelf.
Facility information is integral to the "track and trace" features in ReposiTrak. It's used to track movement between your facilities and those of your suppliers and retailers. In the event of a recall or investigation, facilities are the points at which analysis will likely begin. When performing research in ReposiTrak, many options provide facility details in both text and map formats.
ReposiTrak's Compliance Management tools use facilities for storing facility-specific documents, such as facility inspections for your plants and warehouses. They also work to organize product-specific facilities associated with certain products and product types. For example, seafood processing facilities may require documentation not applicable to bakery or dairy products.
Your partner setup includes the option to add supplier Partner Profiles for each facility. These profiles list the IDs used in your system to identify the retailer's facilities. For example, you may use a store ID (Facility ID) of 1004, but your retailer or other partner may use AA-1004. Including Partner Profiles with facilities is useful for correlating the records provided by each side of a trading partnership.
Search hints: Use asterisks as wild cards when searching for a Facility ID or Name.
You can enter physical locations by address or by latitude / longitude.
Under My Referential Documents > Setup or Track & Trace > Setup, click Manage Facilities.
Enter search criteria. Use asterisks as wild cards. For example, enter *center* to find all Facilities that include the word center.
Facility ID. Search by the store, distributor center, or other ID set up for your Facility.
Facility Name. Search by the name set up for the Facility.
Partner. Search for Facilities specific to a trading partner.
Show Only if Partner Profile Exists? Display only Facilities that include the partner's Facility ID. Select a partner and uncheck this to add partner information to a Facility. See Add a Partner Profile below.
Note: Click Find without criteria to show all Facilities.
Click Find. Facility matching your criteria display.
Facility ID. Alpha-numeric identifier for the Facility. Click to update Facility information.
Facility Name. Name entered for the Facility.
GLN. 13-digit Global Location Number.
Partner Facility ID. If Partner is selected, the partner's ID for the Facility. Click to update or add a partner identifier.
Address. Facility mailing address. Click to update or add.
Delete. Click the X beside a Facility to delete it. Available only if a Facility is not used in a Production Run or ReposiTrak product-movement record.
To update a Facility:
Click the Facility ID.
Complete the fields using the column descriptions above as a guide.
If the Facility requires special product-related documentation from one or more of your partners, select the product Value(s). These optional fields are used for selecting document-related "Attributes." See Manage My Document Requirements.
Click Save.
Search for the Facility first to ensure it doesn't already exist.
Click Add.

Click Save.
This adds the IDs used by your trading partners to identify your Facility.
Enter search criteria for the Facility.
Select the Partner.
Uncheck Show Only if Partner Profile Exists.
Click Find.
Click the None link under the Facility's Partner Facility ID.
The Facility displays with the retailer Facility ID, Facility Name, Partner Name, and Partner Business Unit ID.
Enter the Partner's Facility ID.
Click Save.
Note: To update a Partner Profile, select the Partner and click Find. Click the Partner Facility ID.
Enter search criteria for the Facility.
Click Find.
Click the Facility's Address.
Complete the fields and click Save.
About Latitude and Longitude
These address fields are optional, and can be used in lieu of or in addition to a mailing address. ReposiTrak uses these fields for mapping when a physical street address is not available.
Latitude range: -90 to 90
Longitude range: -180 to 180
Decimal Precision: Up to 8 decimal places
For example: Latitude 32.913720, Longitude -96.636322
To remove a Facility from your setup, click the X to the right.
Notes:
You can delete a Facility only if it is not used in any Production Run run or other tracking record.
You cannot delete a partner's Facility.
