What are the Product Ingredients?

Use this option to view the ingredients, producers, and batch/lot details of a product.  This is "back tracing" of suppliers providing ingredients to your facilities.

Search for Product Ingredients

  1. Under Track & Trace > Research, click What are the product ingredients?

  1. Choose the search extent:

My Products.  Search for batch/lots from items in your ReposiTrak catalog.

Products of Immediate Suppliers.  Search for batch/lots from suppliers, manufacturers or shippers that directly provide you with products or product ingredients.  This is referred to as "one back" tracing against the previous tier in your supply chain.

For example, if you process breaded shrimp, this option lists batch/lots from businesses that directly supply you with breading and with shrimp.

Products of any Supplier in Supply Chain.  Search across all your supply chain tiers for batch/lots from producers that directly or indirectly provide you with ingredients or products. Note that Advanced Search Criteria is not available from this option.

Using the breaded shrimp example, this option not only includes your breading and shrimp providers, it includes batch/lots from the wheat flour and salt providers supplying your breading manufacturer.

  1. Enter search criteria:

Item ID. Enter the UPC, Item Description, or Supplier Item Number. Enter UPCs with or without dashes.  Use asterisks as wild cards.

Batch/Lot Number. Search for a specific batch or lot.  This must be entered exactly as reported to ReposiTrak.  The field does not allow wild cards.

Advanced Search Criteria

This can be used in combination with the basic search fields and will help to narrow the results.

Plant or Warehouse.  Search by processing plant, warehouse or other location from which a product originated or through which a product moved.

Date From / To.  Search a range of Production Dates.  It's not necessary to enter both dates.  For example, choosing a From date of July 1 will list all runs on or after July 1st.

Tracking ID.  Search for specific shipments.  (Not available for My Products,)

  1. Click Find.

  2. Select the Batch/Lot to display its Product Ingredients.  (The list will be empty if no matching batch/lot is found.)
