distribuLink is an advanced reporting service that allows manufacturers with multi-tiered distributions systems and their representatives to review item, price and promotion reports for distributors by brand, distributor, retail chain or any of a number of customized criteria.
Using the information in Item & Cost as the data-of-record, distribuLink provides:
Visibility for manufacturers to access aggregate distributor’s pricing data.
Detailed pricing reports that segment pricing data by distributor or retail chain / chain division.
Improved accuracy and timeliness of pricing data.
Reduced time and labor in gathering pricing data.
Up-to-date pricing data for your regional and national account teams, freeing up sales teams to focus on selling rather than information gathering.
Please note that all reports show the informational conditions attached to a promotion, such as "BUY 7 Case(s) GET $1.25 OFF," and most print on legal-size (11 x 14 landscape) paper.
Consolidated Chain Pricing Reports
A Consolidated Chain Pricing Report lists the items, costs, and conditions, such as “Quantity Discount Allowance, BUY 10 Case(s), GET $1.50 OFF per Case,” associated with the specific retailer selected from the Retailers window on this screen. The report contents are grouped by the cost zones the distributor has set up for the retailer. Note: This report prints on Legal Size paper (11 x 14 landscape). Sample.
This reporting option offers the most accurate pricing available, but is only available when a Prescient service agreement is set up between the retailer and the distributor.
A Prescient service agreement exists when a distributor is:
live or “connected” to a Prescient retailer,
using a Prescient form for that retailer, or
because a Coors representative has requested a Chain setup for a given retailer to obtain chain pricing. These can be requested through Coors Brewing Company.
A Distributor Pricing Report provides costs and conditions for one or more distributors. You can limit your report to a city, state, or Field Business Area (FBA). Note: This report prints on Legal Size paper (11 x 14 landscape). Sample.
A Promotion Pricing Report provides details about a promotion that is in effect on the date you specify. The report includes the effective dates and areas, and lists the conditions attached to a particular deal, such as deal quantities, free goods, or cents off. Note: This report prints on Letter Size paper (8.5 x 11 landscape). Sample.
This information is also available on the Consolidated Chain Pricing Report, Distributor Pricing Report, and the Chain Division Pricing Report (all recommended for ease-of-use).
Chain Division Pricing Reports
A Chain Division Pricing Report enables Coors representatives to generate pricing reports for all costs a distributor has loaded in Prescient, including the costs for chains or chain divisions. It is available in both CSV and RTF formats, and can be organized by Item or Distributor. A cover page is included that "explains" the data reported. Sample.
Coors corporate maintains the chain information by uploading data on retail chains, chain divisions, distributors, geographic regions (territories), and the relationship of each.
Note: The Request Chain Division Pricing Reports button will only appear for entities that have distributor data for retail chains and chain divisions.
Use this function to see if a report has completed.
Click this button to perform a file upload of distributor chain division relationships. This is performed monthly by CBC’s IT (information technology) department, and must be done to keep data-relationships current and to populate the Chain Division Pricing Report.
Although most reports are delivered to you as an e-mail attachment, options are available to hold your report for manual downloading. This function is used to download a report directly to your computer’s hard drive.
Use this function to save report specifications, or modify saved report criteria before running a report.
Reports can be delivered to you in three ways:
E-mail Attachment
The report is sent to you as an e-mail attachment.
E-mail Notification
You can be notified by e-mail that the report has been placed on our Chainlinksm system for you to download from the File Download button.
Chainlink
The report can simply be placed on Chainlink without an e-mail notification. You must manually check to see if the report file has generated. Once it is complete, you can download it from the File Download button.
Many people choose e-mail attachment as the most convenient way to receive their reports.
Note: Although our Chainlink system is the repository for holding files of this type, you download your reports directly from Prescient. This simple procedure is begun by logging on and clicking Download button from any Prescient window.
You can select the output Format of your reports. This determines how you open and view the information. In most reports you can select from comma separated (CSV) or RTF (Rich Text Format).
Click Comma Separated (CSV) for a report you can open as a spreadsheet. This is the default for all reports except the "Promotion Pricing Report."
Click RTF for a ready-to-print table you can open with word-processing software.
Some reports can be viewed on-screen by clicking a Display button. This option is not available for all reports.
