Informational or "Reporting" costs are now available to both providers and subscribers. This change affects both online displays and many reports.

An Informational cost is a Promotional cost that does not change the pricing in a subscriber's (retailer's) pricebook. An Informational cost conveys pricing information, is reviewed online or in reports, and is used to make informed decisions.  For example, "BUY 700 Case(s) GET SPECIAL PRICE of $11.00 per Case."

When exporting promotional costs to your subscribers, syncLink uses two categories:

As a scan-based trading (SBT) retailer (subscriber), the Manage Stores utility is used to add and update SBT configurations that are specific to one or more stores.

At the request of a subscriber, a single provider (vendor) can be split into multiple sub-vendors.

For example, a single dairy provider sells both milk and cheese.  However, the subscriber’s internal systems are set up to handle milk as one vendor and cheese as another.  Sub-vendors are used to meet this multi-vendor requirement.

Sub-vendors are set up for a subscriber and associated with a provider.  Items and zones are assigned to each sub-vendor within the match.
